The events in the following videos happened last year, but it’s something I thought people ought to watch.
I must admit, the camera person made me incredibly dizzy (we got some great shots of the sky), but nonetheless, this impassioned speech struck a chord with me – I imagine many of my fellow patriots will find this similarly moving. Adam Kokesh is an ex-Marine and anti-war activist, for those that aren’t familiar with his history (more info on Adam can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Kokesh).
Another time (previous to his speech, I believe), Adam had been pulled over and assaulted by a dozen police officers, for no discernible reason. His personal account follows.. strong language at times, so if you find that offensive, skip over this one.
I greatly respect those in our military that refuse to fight, and actively disobey orders they know are illegal and morally wrong. I’m a supporter of the “Courage to Resist” movement, and I urge you all to also support the troops who refuse to fight at http://www.couragetoresist.org/ (I will likely be blogging further about this organization at a later date). Only through peaceful resistance can this revolution be won.
For Liberty!
[EDIT: Just after writing this article, I learned that 16 days ago, the formation of the "Kokesh for Congress Exploratory Committee" was announced. If elected, Adam would serve in his home state of New Mexico - show Adam our support at http://kokeshforcongress.com/.]
