The Gerson Therapy: Really, a Cure for Cancer and Other Degenerative Diseases?

Short Answer:  Yes.

Long Answer:  Absolutely – and not just cancer.  In many documented cases, The Gerson Therapy has been demonstrated to effectively cure heart disease, multiple sclerosis, high blood pressure, lupus, colitis, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, herniated disks, various thyroid problems and even reportedly sometimes Alzheimer’s disease, if caught in early stages.

Despite what the major player pharmaceutical companies would have you become aware of, yes, there is a cure for cancer and other degenerative diseases, as listed above.  The cure is well-documented in many studies, but despite these documented cases and numerous patient interviews, The Gerson Therapy has been consistently ridiculed and discredited by the larger scientific community, and has received much harsh criticism in the medical journals.  These declare The Gerson Therapy completely ineffective and not even worth pursuing as an alternative (to the pharmaceutical companies’ own expensive medications.) This, of course, is total crap – these people see The Gerson Therapy as a threat.

Pharmaceutical companies make obscene amounts of money on the drugs they sell, from Tylenol to Demerol.  In an attempt to maintain their seat of financial power, they do what it takes to keep their consumer in steady supply of their product.  After all, they’re the only ones that can help you get better, right?  Well, the majority of people aren’t aware that there are effective alternatives to what the FDA approves.  And the top dogs very much want to keep it that way – if only people knew about alternatives that just so happened to be MUCH less expensive than the painful and expensive medicines they would strongly prefer to sell you.  The Gerson Therapy is purposefully discredited because it threatens the hoards of money the pharmaceutical companies make on expensive chemotherapies, pain killers, sleep aids, or whatever it is that ails you.

book-coverWhile still far easier and less expensive than traditional chemotherapy and radiation therapy, The Gerson Therapy is NOT a magic fix, as simple as just taking a few pills. The Gerson Therapy is NOT a therapy that works passively, with minimal effort on the patient’s part. The Gerson Therapy is NOT based on a “mind over matter” approach (although a positive state of mind is always beneficial, in its own way.) And most importantly, The Gerson Therapy is not an undocumented theory.

What it IS, however, is a genuine cure for many degenerative diseases, including cancer. Skeptics of The Gerson Therapy be first willing to do the required research – listen to the firsthand witnesses of the therapy’s effectiveness, watch the documentaries (which will be discussed later in this article), and read Dr. Gerson’s classic book, A Cancer Therapy: Results of Fifty Cases.

What does the therapy entail?

As mentioned earlier, The Gerson Therapy requires significant effort by the patient. The concept is basic: to cleanse your liver, which is the organ responsible for filtering out toxins in the human body. The Gerson Therapy achieves this detoxification through fresh, organic juices of fruits and vegetables. They must all be grown organically, as any traces of pesticide will hinder the results. There are some significant diet changes that must be adhered to very strictly for somewhere between 2 weeks and 2 months, for most diseases. Cancer is a tougher customer – long-term diet plans must be done under a physician’s supervision, and adhered to religiously.

The Gerson Therapy primarily prescribes fresh juices from fruits and vegetables, utilizing a press-type juicer. The juice should be drank immediately after they are prepared – waiting for even as long as 20 minutes after juicing will render the enzymes in the juice less-than-ideal, and after 40 minutes, not beneficial to the therapy at all.

By drinking the large amounts of juice, you get an enormous flooding of nutrients, minerals, enzymes, and vitamins – this serves to flush out your kidneys. The nutrients effectively extract and release the poisons at a cellular level, into the blood stream. The liver is designed to filter it out, but because of the large amount of toxins being released, the bile ducts must be opened. What Dr. Gerson prescribed to accomplish this necessary step was his famous and often joked about coffee enemas. Apparently coffee is considered to be the ideal way to further open the bile ducts to facilitate cleansing the liver of the toxins being expunged by the juicing.

Dr. Max Gerson – a short biography

Dr. Max Gerson

60 years ago, German physician Dr. Max Gerson set out to come up with a diet that would cure his own severe migraines.  The “migraine diet” he had discovered worked well for him, but furthermore, during the treatment, it was discovered to have also cured his skin tuberculosis. This discovery intrigued Dr. Gerson, and he began studying the diet further. What he discovered was that with some adjustments, the diet effectively cured many degenerative diseases, commonly known to have no cure.

Dr. Gerson had written A Cancer Therapy: Results of Fifty Cases, published in 1958. A year after writing this, Dr. Gerson died under suspicious circumstances..  His daughter, Dr. Charlotte Gerson talks in detail about the circumstances surrounding her father’s death.

1729_npadvhover“The Beautiful Truth” is a documentary about a 15-year old boy, Garrett, whose mother had died of cancer. Garrett had taken the death extremely hard, and eventually the decision was made by his father to home school Garrett. His first assignment was to research Dr. Max Gerson’s book that describes Dr. Gerson’s controversial method – the book, as mentioned previously, was called “A Cancer Therapy, Results of 50 Cases.”

In “The Beautiful Truth”, help for Garrett came from both Dr. Max Gerson’s daughter, Dr. Charlotte Gerson, as well as Max’s grandson, Howard Strauss. Charlotte had been, and is still, devoted to her father’s work – she has made it her goal to share the therapy with the world.

Do you have cancer and want to cure it?  With no chemotherapy?  And it’s pain-free?  Of course, you have to buy a press-type juicer and actually use it.. I know, it’s a hassle (all those lazy people like me out there know what I’m talking about).

Since obviously the pharmaceutical manufacturers are in it just for more money and won’t be advertising it anytime soon, I’ll humbly ask everyone reading this to please tell someone about The Gerson Therapy.  Post a link, email your contact list, or at the very least leave a comment.  Just pay it forward.. offer someone hope.

Great Blog. I used to suffer about 30 excruciating migraines a month. I was placed on Inderal and Topamax. I now suffer about 12 to18 per month. When the actual migraine hits, I usually take two Midrin and lie down in a dark room. If that doesn’t work, I take one more Midrin and drink a Mountain Dew and continue to lie down. Usually that works. While in bed, I try to think of something soothing and relaxing that takes my mind away from the pain. About 50% of the time this works. I also take Zofran for nausea.
